What a great question! I came across a blog addressing this question and thought I'd share it with you. People can forget that dancing is a skill. And, like with any skill, it requires mental effort and practice to improve that skill. Unless you are a super genius, I would say it's pretty much impossible to become fluent in a foreign language in a few lessons. Read the full blog here. So, my advice is to be kind to yourself (and your dance partner). Learning to dance is a journey, not a destination. Enjoy it! |

What's the difference between BoogieFit and Zumba?
There are two major differences between BoogieFit Solo Latin Dance and Zumba Fitness classes. One of the big differences is that Zumba classes are available worldwide; Zumba Certified Instructors receive Zumba music and choreography for use in the classes. BoogieFit is only offered by BoogieCamp in Brisbane - and thus BoogieFit is unique in its music selection and choreography. All choreography taught in BoogieFit is created by BoogieCamp's owner, Olga Gjokmarkovic (that's me!). You won't find choreography in BoogieFit anywhere else! Zumba Gold is a fun, simple and low impact fitness class. Add some spice to your evenings this winter as we'll be adding more Indian tracks in the Zumba Gold classes, including Bollywood.
Did You Know? The term Bollywood was coined in the 1970s by combining two names, Bombay (now called Mumbai) and Hollywood. It is India’s, and the world’s, largest film industry in terms of the number of films produced, and number of tickets sold each year! For more info about Zumba Gold fitness classes, click here. BoogieFit Solo Latin Dance is "hans"-down the best solo Latin dance class in Brisbane. Okay, I just made that up - and - I am awesome at puns (or perhaps not)! Anyways... BoogieFit is back with new Latin dance choreographies to Latin and non-Latin music tracks. So, get ready to shake your light sabre to Salsa and more!
