- Do we need to book as a couple?
- Yes. All dance styles taught are partnered styles. There is no rotation of partners during the class so you need to book with a dance partner.
- Your dance partner can be your romantic partner, a work colleague, a neighbour, a friend or a family member.
- Do we need to book for the whole 4 weeks?
- Yes.
- Can we just try the first lesson before booking in?
- No, because you need more than one lesson to get a proper feel for the dance styles.
- I recommend committing to the full course. After all, it's only 4 nights and 8 hours of your life!
- In my experience, beginner couples may feel overwhelmed at the end of the first lesson. However, those couples that continue for the full four weeks end up being really surprised at how much they've learned and how quickly they've picked up the dance moves.
- What do we wear?
- Wear comfortable clothes that do not restrict movement of your arms and legs.
- On your feet, choose shoes with ankle support and smooth soles.
- Wearing shoes with too much grip can jar your ankles, knees and hips, so I highly recommend smooth-soled shoes so you can easily twist, pivot and turn.
- What is the age range?
- The classes are designed for adults, so anyone 18 and up is welcome. There is a diverse age range from couples in their 20s to couples in their 70s.
- How many couples are in the class?
- Numbers vary from class to class, with a minimum of 6 couples and up to a maximum of 15 couples per class.
- Something has happened and we can't continue with the classes. Can we transfer to the next course?
- Unfortunately not.
