Zouk Lambada is a variation of the original Lambada which is much faster and involves more hip flick movements (remember Lambada, the song by Kaoma: click here to view the video clip). Zouk Lambada, on the other hand, is slower and sensual, more fluid and has a French Caribbean influence. There are many different types of Zouk Lambada, both in terms of the dance styles and the music which includes Zouk, rhythm & blues (R&B) and hip hop. You'll notice the heavy "3" beat across all musical genres.
There are a lot of variations across the various Zouk Lambada group of dances, including the moves themselves, the music and the names of similar steps across the group.
