Welcome to Rumba (also spelled as Rhumba)!

• Originating from Cuba, Rumba has a “quick-quick-slow” beat and is referred to as the “dance of love” or the "dance of romance".
  
• There are several different types of Rumba:
  
  • (a) American-style Ballroom Rumba;
    
  • (b) International-style Ballroom Rumba; and
    
  • (c) Cuban Rumba (which is further subdivided into (i) Rumba Yambu, (ii) Rumba Guaguanco, and (iii) Rumba Columbia (solo dance)).​
    
• We teach American Rumba at BoogieCamp, which has the Box Step as the basic step.
