What to wear and bring to a Zumba Gold class...

What to wear...

CLOTHING:
  • Wear your workout gear or comfortable clothes that you can exercise in.

​SHOES:

  • ​Make sure you wear closed-toe supportive shoes that allow you the freedom to pivot and twist, such as cross trainers, dance/jazz sneakers or Zumba shoes.
  • You don't want shoes that have too much grip as these will "stick" to the floor and end up jarring your ankles, knees and/or hips.​
  • Flip flops or sandals are not suitable.​​​

What to bring...

​​WATER:
  • Bring your water bottle. There will be drink breaks during the class. You'll need to keep hydrated as you work out!

SWEAT TOWEL:

  • You may also wish to bring a small towel to wipe down the sweat of having so much fun!
  • You do not need a large towel or a yoga mat as there is no floor work in the class.

​LIGHT HAND WEIGHTS:

  • Light hand weights are used for:
    • ​all Zumba Gold TONING classes (only available online by demand)
    • all Zumba Gold FITNESS classes held in person, as each class includes a TONING section of 3-4 tracks where participants have the option of using their own weights
  • If participants choose to have light hand weights, here are some of the options:
    • ​​​Zumba Toning Sticks:
      • Choose from Lime Green (1 pound, ~450g) or Purple (2.5 pounds, ~1.1kg)
      • Available for purchase online: www.zumbashop.com.au.
    • Dumb Bells or Ankle/Wrist Weights available from a sports or department store - choose from 0.5kg or 1kg sizes
    • small water bottles filled with water ​
