So, I had a question recently about whether my Active & Healthy classes were continuing in 2025 because these classes weren't showing in the Brisbane City Council's GOLD Program brochure.

Here's my response...
The Active & Healthy Program has multiple programs - one is GOLD for seniors and the other is ACTIVE PARKS for adults of all ages.
My Bulimba, Manly, Norman Park and Sunnybank classes are in ACTIVE PARKS, so these activities won't appear in the GOLD brochure.
Only activities under the GOLD program will appear in the GOLD brochure for seniors. My Zumba Gold Chair class at Moorooka is the only class I have under the Council's GOLD Program.
I recommend searching for all activities (not just GOLD) when on the Active and Healthy website:
Please note that just because a class is called Zumba GOLD Fitness, it doesn't mean it's part of Council's GOLD Program. They're two separate things - I wrote a blog about this - check it out here for all the details.
