De-zombie-fication
It's November already and it's heating up! That humidity is really starting to kick in. I tend to get into the Hydralyte when the humidity gets high, so I can replenish my electrolytes and get back to some level of normalcy (is that a word?), rather than my high-humidity "zombie mode"! I recommend you focus on whatever form of hydration and electrolytes work for you during these humid days! And you'll be pleased to know that all indoor classes are in AIR-CONDITIONED HALLS! Check out the Zumba Gold class schedule here. HOT DAYS!
So, apparently tomorrow (Saturday 31 August) is forecasted to be 36 degrees Celsius. 36 degrees! We're technically still in Winter! WINTER!!! Please be mindful of the heat - drink plenty of water, wear cool clothing, wear a hat and sunglasses for outdoor classes and don't overexert yourself. As a dance instructor, I'm a obviously a massive fan of dancing.
I dance because I love music and I enjoy moving my body to music. I love the freedom and the self-expression - I'll frequently be joyfully dancing around my kitchen and living room to a song on the radio! It's a great opportunity to play and stop being so serious. After I dance, I feel energised, and I'm always in a good mood, no matter what kind of day I had! I find dancing is a fantastic stress-reliever for me as well. This blog post was inspired by an article I came across "Why Dance for Fitness: Here are 9 Reasons". Why do you dance? Post your comment below! |
